ABOUT THE

Spelunker Tour

In the early days of colonization, settlers were confronted by Native Americans who seemed to attack and then disappear into thin air. Later, colonists discovered the Native American’s escape route—a cave with a majestic underground river running through it. The cave was used as a hiding place during the Civil War, changed ownership through the years and is now called the Bristol and Appalachian Caverns. On this ride you’ll have the opportunity to see this unique cave and explore an underground labyrinth more than one million years old.
